singie | Singie Reads One Piece --- Chapter One

In the lights of Hunter x Hunter going in hiatus, pommefield decided to try new challenge.... a huge challenge! One Piece is one of the longest series out there, and her proposal is to take it slow and read one chapter a day, and see where this takes us. I'm along for the ride, but this was entirely her idea and her credit is all hers!

I'll follow the series in this site. (Talk about piracy.) It's literally called "Read One Piece" and is the only site that works on my notebook out of the few that I've tried.

First impression is that the ships are kickass. I've been obsessed with pirates and ships ever since Assassin's Creed Black Flag, probably even before that. I'm guessing this manga is going to fill a void in my heart.

Second impression: Luffy is an idiot.

What the fuck did you do that for, buddy? And people dare say Gon is stupid. But okay, let's give him a break cause he's a child and this is clearly a flash back.

I should probably refrain about talking about my brother, but no, cause he's one of the reasons why I agreed to pick up One Piece. He's emotional about this manga, ok. This is the character that he names his online gaming characters after:

He looks nice I suppose? We'd be friends. He trolls Luffy, and his buddy trolls Luffy too. I could ship them just because they're assholes.

Look, Kyoka made an appearance! This guys goes on and on about killing 56 people.

Child Luffy gets his ass beat by grown up in the first chapter. Where would we be without some childhood trauma.

Okay this is my favorite part yet:

I wanna be a pirate too, can I be a pirate? I can swim!! Let me!!

Then they kick some asses, rescue Luffy and the- I wasn't expecting, Shanks loses an arm! Oh no, gotta call Machi to stitch it back!
